GRE. BAD.

Today marked my first official study day for the GRE. I didn't have to take an entrance exam for grad school back in 2005, so the last time I filled in one of those dreaded bubbles with a number 2 pencil was back in 2001. That would also mark the last time I did math. Needless to say, while doing my practice test this morning (you know, to determine your starting score so you can assess how much blood, sweat and tears (O THE TEARS!) you have to put into your studying), I might as well have taken a nap.

I reckon it'll be easier to learn formulas than reading comprehension, but if you happen to pass by my house and find pencils in my ear instead of on my scratch paper, call for help. Please?

GRE! Good old memories. I remember vocab was killer. There was like a list with 3,000 frequently used words. some real holy crap :) i can't even remember any of those weirdo words..
during the test i lost the time management. i guess i was so careless about time management during the preparation; i thought that mastering TOEFL time management would qualify me for GRE real-time situation; which proved to be wrong haha; some memories, eh!

u need it for the US right?

good luck

Yeah, need it for the US. Haven't decided which continent I want to spend the next few years of my life on, so need to cover all bases. Think I have time management down. Just need to relearn four years of high school math. Should take about...a week, yeah?

Babe! Are you taking the GRE so you can go and do your PHD? The US is an excellent
Yeah honestly, I would highly recommend taking a course or even an online course. I used Kaplan and it was awsome!
I didnt score extremely well on my GRE though! Not as well as I wanted. I made the mistake of focusing so much on math that I didnt focus enough on the vocabularly.
Even though I didnt score very well on my GRE I got into an excellent school for my masters-luckily one that didnt give a shit about my GRE score...but it depends on where you want to go. I targeted schools that gave scholarship, didnt give a shit about GRE scores, and had concentrations in career counseling. But then again-if your headed to an Ivy League school then its something you should care about. It just depends on what you really want. Either way focus on both the math and verbal equally.
Much luv and good luck.
